why don't keys repeat on OSX 10.8.3

Well, auto-correct is something I immediately disable on any machine, Mac or otherwise, because I type in up to 8 different languages, often mixing them up in one and the same document, so Auto-Correct is a nightmare and a useless mess. 😝

Well, Bret, as a programmer you should have no trouble implementing the very simple solution indicated by Barney—regardless of your or Barney's reasoning. 😝

Really. People are still doing that? I thought it was ugly when it was in vogue. I guess I just thought it had died off as I rarely see it anymore.

Silly me, I was thinking along the terms of vi = visually impaired. 😊

Rarely see it? With the likes of github markdown syntax is only more widespread. Those of us that prefer the markdown to be also readable by humans will also lay out accordingly.

defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool false

Worked for me.

My delete key repeats!

But I still have the non-repeating letters and numbers issue.
