15" MBPr (2012) getting Geekbench Score of 6500, Should be 10,000. HELP!?

Hi,

I always felt that my MBPr was under performing, and after about 10 months of it, I got fed up and started running benchmark tests... GB2 put this machine at <7,000 while other machines with the exact same spects are getting 11,000+. Could somebody please point in the right direction to get this corrected? I'm ready to run any tests or programs you guys recommond. Please help, as I have only 1 month left of warranty, and if this machine really is faulty, I'd like to get it fixed by then.

Thanks.

So I recieved my repaired MBPr last night (after a small shipping mishap). The work order says they replaced the heatsink and display (during their diagnostics, cpu heat and screen persistence must have been issues). This is a small boon for me as I previously had the LG panel, but now am rocking the Samsung panel. The computer runs buttery smooth now and I am able to get acceptable score on GeekBench now. I'm going to guess the computer had been self-throttling the CPU because of the heat issue to prevent physical damage to the chip. I am now able to play the new Sim City at max resolution with middle settings very smoothly (I was barely able to play with mininmum resolution and settings before) and will be testing out Diablo 3 as soon as I finish downloading it.

Additional 90 day warranty on work/parts... my original 1-year warranty will run out early June. Time to pony up and pick up Apple Care?
