Add Logo to Scrolling title directly in FCPX?

There is a scale parameter...

Replying to myself: I see now that the scaling of the drop zone would go only up to the original size.

Below you can get a new version in which the only change is that the drop zone starts off much bigger.

You can do this directly in FCPX by "pages"... I'll try to explain. By page, you are limited to just the canvas frame size to add items. When you transform the clip, moving it vertically up or down, anything you place before the normal frame size will not be displayed in the storyline... it gets cropped out automatically.

First step, add your logo to the storyline as a connected clip and drag it out to the length of time you need to scroll the first "section". Select it and type Option - G, turning it into a compound clip. [You can trim the length later.]

Double click on the compound clip to open it in a timeline. Size your logo to the size you want. Add a Basic Title and set it as the Heading line over the graphic. Add another Basic Title and create the text you want below the graphic. You have all the space from the top of the frame to the bottom of the frame (anything more will but cropped out by FCPX.)

Go back into the storyline and keyframe the Transform Position Y parameter adjusting the Y to a negative value large enough to obscure the compound clip below the canvas; move the playhead to the end of the compound and set a Y value large enough to move all the text off the screen. This will animate as a scrolling text (The Scrolling title effect in FCPX is internally animated and will not function as you want it to in this setup.)

If you need more text at the bottom, duplicate the compound (keyframes will be copied and keep the same animation speed) and move it forward in time until the top of the copied compound matches what would be the line under the original compound [you can select the graphic "layer" in the copy and type V to hide it.] The animated keyframes of both should be synchronized.

If you're doing a "Credits" screen? I recommend starting the " Credit / Credited " list with the Lower Thirds > Upper text effect. It's one of the few "built in" text templates in FCPX that uses a "paragraph" formated text box. Double clicking in the text on the Canvas and selecting the "ruler icon" at the top right of the canvas will display a Textedit ruler in which you can add Left, Right, Center and Decimal Tab stops making a credits list very easy to format on screen.

If you double-click on on the text in the viewer, you will get a box around the text. For some reason, this box is not growing automatically to encompass all the text, but you can drag the little marks on the edges of the box to enlarge it, so that all text becomes visible.
