Facebook contacts not syncing

I'm experience the same issue but it happening on my iPad and MacBook Pro.

I'm also having this problem. Some Facebook friends are downloaded to my iOS Phonebook, some aren't.

For example: there's a person that I added today that shows up perfectly on my Phonebook. Her name is there, her picture is there, her phone number, all automatically.

But there are a LOT of friends that just DON'T show up. Not even if I create them locally on my iPhone with the exact same name, they're not update with Facebook info. I don't know what to do.

I tried deleting my Facebook account from iOS settings and re-setting it but it changed nothing. I have almost 300 Facebook friends but only 120 show up on my Phonebook.

Same problem here... iPhone 4s and iPad 2 both running on the latest iOS version and they are not showing all the Facebook contacts, just some of them. iPhone shows more contacts than the iPad, but still a lot of the contact are not showing. I noticed this some days ago, but honestly I'm not checking constantly...

Noticed this happen to me too, iphone4s and ipad4 with latest iOS and Facebook apps. Worked fine a couple of weeks ago when I last checked but I'm now missing certain Facebook contacts

I have the same problem here too. It's like half of my contacts are synced while half aren't. What do I do?

I'm also having the same problem. It has only been an issue in the last week or so.

This is annoying as my contacts were synced perfectly.

I have the same problem. I noticed that most of the Contatacts that are successfully synced with Facebook have entered a Phone number. Also, if i want to Update the Profile Photos on my MacBook using Facebook, the following message appears:

Email addresses and phone numbers in the Contacts app will only be used to search Facebook to find profile photos for your contacts.

So maybe only Contacts with Phone numbers/Emails are Integrated to the Phonebook. Might be a Glitch or a new Facebook policy

This also happening to me. The first time it sync'ed only 23 out of 300, I deleted the account and started again this time I got 66 out 300. Not all of those 66 contacts have phone numbers but they all have email addresses which are not @facebook.com addresses so it may well be only contacts with either a phone number or an email address (which is not a facebook email address) gets added.

It seems to be afflicting iPads and Macs, as well as iPhones. As there is no obvious way of rectifying it by playing with settings here or there, or reinstalling certain components etc., I believe it's a recent bug.

What would be the efficient way to report this to Apple and/or Facebook?

It's a new Facebook policy. There's no need to report to Apple or Facebook.

Facebook claimed they're not gonna sync contacts who don't have useful info, at least his/her email (not including the @facebook one), birthday, phone number, address, will not be synced to iOS phonebook.

The problem with this policy is that all my FB friends' birthdays would show up previously on my iPhone calendar.

Now only the ones that are synced do. I liked being able to look at my calendar every morning and click through from there to wish people a HBD.

I read what you posted, it said I can add FB's's contacts manually. Do you know how do I do that?

In the same post I even read this from a user MalnarMario " There is another problem. Linking FB contacts to you own to join extra information very often changes the leading name of the joined card back into facebook dominant one, although you can specify otherwise. Why??? and there is unfortunately no cure."

The names and the pictures are getting messed up.

I know Apple has great s/w engineers who would rectify this overnight. Please Apple do something.

Earlier i could know the upcoming birthdays but now i can know only d birthdates of 127 contacts
