Mail issues after 10.8.4

This worked for a couple of hours, but has since stopped. I repeated the process, but no luck.

Other comments that relay Apple Support saying it has something to do with Acrobat Reader seem correct. Must have something to do with Attachments as post about attachment tamer solution worked for me.

I fixed my problem using Linc Davis suggestion. I was able to recreate the problem by opening an email with an attachment containing a PDF. I deleted the email, removed the folder from Linc's solution, and everything is back to normal. I did have to use Time Machine to get back the settings I had prior to removal of the sandbox.

I have the same problem, I have not installed Adobe Reader on my system though.

I just started having this problem, and I have not updated anything recently that I can think of. Super frustrating. I tried Linc's suggestion on the first page. It seems like it fixes it at first, but then if I scroll through an email the issue comes back. Actually opening the email in a separate window will usually show the content, but that's the only way to read the email. This is a pretty serious bug, and it needs to be addressed.

I have the issue, I thought it was just the protected PDF's; I didn't think of the cause to be 10.8.4. I have spent hours with Apple advisors, done wipe and reinstall and still same issues.

They blamed the "message". However, yesterday I tried it in a computer at the Apple Store, and everything worked fine. I am wondering what OS was installed.

It sems apple has finaly rectified the problem in 10.8.5 release has any body tried the same and hasit really solved the problem

Gerrygraff's instructions worked for me. I dragged all the plist files -- and there were a bunch -- out of mail and into a temp desktop file just in case. Reopened Mail. And it worked great; moving fast and all my messages in tact. Thanks!
