Can't get past the Review Agreement Page.

Hi.

I purchased a one year membership to the iOS Developer Program.

I got the activatoin email, clicked the link (the activation code) and was taken to the Review Agreement.

Now I am unable to get past the Review Agreement Page.

Everytime I tick the box and select agree, it just reloads the page. It is as if it is looping.

I checked the error console, and it comes up with:

TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'Event.onDOMReady')

Anyone have a solution?

Cheers.

I know Hammertime38... When I saw that the certificates were claimed to be back online I felt so happy and relieved... But when i realized I was screwed by this "updated license agreement" page I felt more angry and betrayed than before.

Divide and conquer. That is apple's strategy. They deviced a plan on restoring their website for 1-2 months and to ward of the united anger of coders... They chose to allow half of us in and half of us out. The ones who have yet to agree to this license agreement, like us, will have to wait until their website is FULLY restored in september.

More patience is being forced from us.

Do you have any left?

I decided to register a new id and buy another subscription (as this might get around the agreement loop). My client will need ongoing support after I hand over the app anyway.

But without the Members Center, no new accounts and therefore no new developers can register either. Can anyone else verify this by logging out and trying to register a new id?

For now, I have a friend compile the app for me with his profile and send me the .ipa - all very messy.

There's no point in that dude.

The same area of the developer website that handles the "updated agreement" is the same area where "new accounts" are created. The members center.

And the members center is still down.

So... That's Apple's way of saying we either have to wait until they are ready to work with us again, or we can find another job.

No way around it.

I guess the bean counters have a formula for how much money to spend on the solution versus what it will do to sales and stock price. Obviously us pesky developers are further down the rung of the ladder than we thought. Maybe Apple doesn't need any new apps or upgrades to existing ones since they have so many to start with.

"Sorry coders, we're full. We'll let you know when you're needed again and we'll fein interest in what you have to offer. Maybe in a couple of years. Until then enjoy the user experience."

September? Is there a statement from Apple saying that certificate renewal won't be available until September? What kind of assinine deal is that? There is absolutely no excuse for developers having to wait until September.

Do they know how many developers are going to lose clients, contracts etc. because of this? People who are right on the edge of a delivery contract who suddenly have to wait a month are going to go out of business.

Luckily I am not one of those contractors, but it makes me wonder if I want to continue developing iOS apps. I sure wouldn't want to sign a contract with a client and have to worry that when I go to send them a current version I'll also have to tell them "Oh sorry, I can't sent you any updates until September... maybe... Oh yes, and here's my invoice."

Myabe it won't be viable to do contract work when you can't agree to a delivery date because of Apple's ineptitude. Just solo apps for the app store.

I agree with both points:

1. The "we'll review your request and get back to you within one (1) business day" is completely bogus -- it just doesn't happen;

2. I've asked Apple to confirm that dev subscriptions will be extended to compensate for the dev site's downtime. But, so far, no reply. (and it's been more than 24 hours!)

My ios dev account has been down since this fiasco started -- no access to anything (despite Apple's statements that some resources are avaliable).

Dev support has told me, via telephone, that some accounts have no access and Apple doesn't know how to fix it yet (and no work-around). That was 4-5 days ago and nothing has changed.

I love my Mac(s) but Apple has really screwed this up. It doesn't help that their public statements, widely reported by the tech press, are less than truthful about what's really happening: the dev site IS NOT mostly back up, at least for a lot of (paid) subscribers.

>Kudos, Apple. It takes balls to lock out 50 % of your contributing developers.

>Looking forward to your explaination on why you couldnt just revoke

>the new license agreement for a couple of days.

And think that thay also released a NEW agreement for the Mac OSX Developers few days after the disaster (not before like for the iOS developers), so they locked out all the Mac OS developers (and it was working when they restored the certificates' website!!!!)
