Can't get past the Review Agreement Page.

Hi.

I purchased a one year membership to the iOS Developer Program.

I got the activatoin email, clicked the link (the activation code) and was taken to the Review Agreement.

Now I am unable to get past the Review Agreement Page.

Everytime I tick the box and select agree, it just reloads the page. It is as if it is looping.

I checked the error console, and it comes up with:

TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'Event.onDOMReady')

Anyone have a solution?

Cheers.

I work in one of the largest newsrooms in Canada. Normally I defend Apple to the core. No pun intended. However, since Apple has been treating its iOS developers with a complete lack of respect, I may bring this matter up to one of our tech reporters. "What Happens When Apps Stop Being Developed. Does Apple Really Care?" We have 400K viewers per night.

Yet another threat.

We do not know the whole story of what happened (and we may never know) nor do we know how Apple has handled this problem internally.

I've worked in Corporate IT when a disaster like this happened and it's usually a supreme pita to get everything back to normal no matter how good your backup procedures are.

I seriously doubt if Apple is treating this lightly. I'd hate to work in IT at Apple right now.

But if you think asking if Apple really cares will help, go for it.

So, in your view, people have paid for something and don't get it should just shut up and be patient?

It's even better (worse) than that: Apple's public statements imply the things are getting incrementally better and everything will be fixed this week. This public posture is a lie and Apple KNOWS it is a lie -- for many registered devs NO part of the developer website is back online -- we have NO access.

I know from personal contact with Apple -- a dev support guy telephoned me about a week ago -- that Apple knows there are some of us who have no access but Apple doesn't understand why -- there is no fix and no work-around.

But, in your view, it's OK for Apple to loudly shout that everything is quickly getting back to normal, even when they KNOW that's not true?

I would have more respect if they even lightly acknowledged that a very large chunk of developers have been completely out of iOS production for almost a month, rather than pleasing the media by announcing that the required features for production were available a few weeks ago (despite the fact that they are not)

So why else would Apple have support forums? We have a very large issue at hand that doesn't appear to be a priority to them, given the lack of feedback. In other words, yes, it is probably a good time to contemplate how much Apple really cares about its developers.

I never said anything of the sort; I was simply implying that making some sort of threat like bad publicity or legal action is hilarious.

You can believe what you want but I'm of the opinion that there are very talented people at Apple trying hard to get to the bottom of each person's particular problem. Something is very messed up with those accounts. I feel badly for those affected but I seriously doubt that Apple is ignoring these people.

In fact, it would make more sense to post your opinions on a non-Apple web site in order to get maximum exposure. (This whole thread contain numerous violations of the forums rules so I think Apple has been pretty darn lenient).

At any rate, I wish all of you folks having problems get back to normal as soon as possible.

I laughed out loud when I read that. I'm pretty sure I hears a mysterious sucking sound in the background, too.

As for 'post your opinions on a non-Apple web site ': check.

And, just BTW, much of what's posted here is FACT, not opinion. The FACT is that Apple isn't being truthful about the developer site's problems and is actively trying to spin it, even though they KNOW their spin is not true.

In the rare chance the mods don't delete this post too I would like to say a few words.

It is friday today. And according to our Apple cult, this is suppose to be the day everything is restored. On august 5, 2013 the apple elite PROMISED in a written letter to all their developers that the "LICENSE AGREEMENTS" will be online in ONE WEEK - (7 human days).

This is a commitment from the top. Not my fantasy. Your bosses promised this to us.

There are 2 days remaining before the week officially ends. We are all holding our breath to see if apple can still be trusted. They committed to something and they MUST deliver. Apple never promises to anything but this time they did.

(My gut tells me Apple won't live up to its words)
