Why can't I receive any emails to my me.com address?

I'm using an @me.com address as my primary work email address. It has worked flawlessly ever since I got the address almost a year ago. Now something is very wrong.

I have not received an email to that account since 7:30 this morning. I have checked my email on my iPhone, on my iMac through Mail, and on a PC at work directly on icloud.com. I've tried at the office and at home with no connection issues. The emails are just not showing up.

I have emailed myself several times today; first to transfer files between computers and then several test emails once I realized something was wrong. None of these emails have shown up. What is going on and how do I fix this? HELP!!!!

I have the same problem since yesterday. my me.com email does not work, I can't send or receive on it any emails. It does allow me to send but the email does not reach my recepient. It just stopped yesterday on my ipad, iphone, icloud.com website and my mac.

I have the same username for me.com and icloud.com. If i send an email to or from my icloud.com email, it works normally but my me.com email is not working! I checked system status and it did not have any problems listed/reported.

My fiancé started experiencing the same problem yesterday. I was able to solve her issue by creating a forwarding rule within her icloud prefrences.

Log into: www.icloud.com

Click the mail icon

Click the cog wheel in the upper right hand corner of the tool bar

Select "Rules..."

Click "Add a Rule..."

Select and fill in the following information so that the rule says:

"If a message 'is addressed to' youremailaddress@me.com Then 'Forward to' youremailaddress@icloud.com"

Click done. (Obviously, type your actual email addresses in the address bars.)

Unfortunately, you won't receive any email that was sent prior to creating this rule, but you should receive all new email.

I spent a lot of time on the phone with Apple care yesterday and they were not able to do anythiung other than tell me to wait for a day and call back. Said that the server might be going through maintanence. I did get a senior advisor on the phone and was told to ask for one when I call back.

I have a case number and will call in a minute to get an update.

I had to explain to the first person I spoke with that my me.com address is an Apple email account. She had to put me on hold to verify as she was unaware that was an icloud email account. I'm paying for this?!

Magically, my emails are now showing up in my inbox. The first one to appear was from the Apple

care senior advisor that was on the phone with me. None of the emails that would have come to me during the outage are showing up. It appears that these have been lost. The advisor suggested we rebuild my inbox to see if they might come in but I elected to move on and not bother. I've already wasted enough time with this.

Why can't I receive any emails to my me.com address?
