Multiple e-mails about resetting my Apple ID - hacking?

Hi All,

Over the past 2 weeks I've had 5 separate e-mails giving me details about how to reset my Apple ID.

At the bottom of each e-mail it says,

"If you weren't trying to reset your password, don't worry – your account is still secure and no one has been given access to it. Most likely, someone just mistyped their email address while trying to reset their own password."

It seems like someone is requesting a link to reset my Apple ID. And doing so on a regular basis.

Should I worried about this? Is it an attempt to hack my account?

Many Thanks

I got one of these yesterday. It was clearly a fake - they even spelled the header Appel-Store. Duh.

I live here in France. The message was in French and it was gramatticaly correct but when I moused over the link to see where it would have taken me, irt was clearly not a cool url at all.

The question is where are these folks getting the Apple ID`s from - or are they simply running a sophisticated random generator ? I suppose they could mine these forums :-).

The first lesson is as it always has been: never but NEVER, NEVER click on ANY link in an unsollicted inbound email. Respecting that will get you 95% of the way there. That and stong passwords.

Yep. Me too. Something's going on. Multiple attempts to access my Apple ID which is not the same name I use here. account currently locked because they failed too many security questons.

What do I do? Try to change the pasword (on a whole slew of Apple devices)? Or leav ethe (perfectly good) password I have in place and let the criminals keep trying to break that one?
