Want to permanently remove some apps and books from itunes 11.0.4 as i have too many and it is getting difficult to manage on itunes!
Does anyone know how to do this?

I have the same problem. Apple keeps telling me how to delete apps on the iphone. I want to delete the app from Itunes altogether.
Not sure what your "same" problem is, since you don't specify it and several have been discussed in this thread. There is no way to permanently delete apps or other Apple Purchases. You can delete them from the device and the library, and you can Hide them so they don't show up with the little cloud next to them allowing them to be re-downloaded. You do that by Hiding them:
Hide and unhide iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store purchases - Apple Support
That is all you can do.

This problem was driving me nuts until I read the remedy posted by Rickmet. It's important NOT to have your device connected to iTunes while you are deleting apps from the library. Thanks Rickmet.
