contacts on my Mac contain only part of the data I have on iCloud and the iPhone

HELP

Many of the contacts on my Mac have only some of the data listed (mostly name and group) but phones, addresses, notes, etc. are missing. The data on iCloud and my iPhone is all intact.

The number of contacts on my Mac and iCloud are identical.

I am unable to sync the complete data to the Mac and I have tried many of the methods suggested in the discusion groups.

Please HELP.

Hello Ssound1,

Sorry about the mixup.

Regarding the iCloud becoming the "source" of data I think Apple should have atleast warn the user when he first decides to use iCloud after many years of using the Mac as the source of truth.

As to the smart groups, although I understand your explanation I think smartgroups should have at least worked on the same Mac that Contacts and Mail reside on and are launched from. Good iseas come sometimes from users😁

Thanks again,

Joshua
