Why no Passbook on iPad?

Why isn't there Passbook on iPad, it is a simple app useful on both devices, and bear in mind that not everyone with an iPad has an iPhone.

All anyone here can say is "because Apple didn't include it". None of us here have any insight into Apple'd decisions on such matters. You can comment to Apple on the issue via their feedback page, if you wish:

I use Passbook on my iPhone fairly often, especially at Starbucks, and it's very convenient. I've also used it with Living Social vouchers (I wish Groupon supported it, too). While I can see the point about the iPad being too large for most people to use Passbook, I don't agree with preventing folks who want to use it do so, especially with the mini and the lighter Air.

The use of iPhone or iPad is a choice of The customer. Any given customer can choose to take it to the movies or the airport or Starbucks if he/she wishes. I travel a lot and sometimes I run out of battery in my iPhone. My iPad is always with me as well. The logical solution would be to pull out my iPad and open my travel pass in passbook from there and go straight to the gate. My dad has a blackberry and an IPad Mini which he takes everywhere. It's always in his work luggage, so why can't he have all the benefits of iOS?

Apple doesn't read these forums. All they do is police them to make sure posts follow the TOS of the forum. So posting your opinion here really doesn't matter much, in fact, as far as Apple is concerned, it doesn't even exist. If anyone wants to make their wish for passbook known, use that feedback link that's been given multiple times. Those responses are at least logged and tallied.

Since you responded directly to me, I will respond to you.

My comments were made months and months ago. Things and opinions change over the course of time. I personally still feel no different about using passbook on the iPad than I did way back when this discussion started. But now I have an iPhone, which I did not own when this discussion began. I do see the benefit of using Passbook. I have used it more than a few times on my phone, whoever, I still would not lug my iPad around simply for the benefit of using Passbook.

As my dearly departed mother used to say "to each his own".

Let your opinion be known where it might actually be heard. Send feedback to Apple as has been suggested at least 3 times already in this discussion.

I don't like constantly being told what people should and shouldn't discuss, and telling people to contact Apple rather than express an opinion here. I think most people understand that this forum is not a direct line to Apple, but they want to have a chat about a particular topic, for instance in case someone has a workaround. If people are talking about something not of interest to you, then why bother reading it?

For the record, I take my iPad almost everywhere, as I can't read and write well enough on my phone (which isn't an iPhone anyway, but a work phone). I don't know why this should bother people if it's my preference. I have a small shoulder bag that I take most places, that contains my keys and notebooks and headphones etc, and the iPad fits in there very nicely. I would definitely like to have Passbook on the iPad. I went to the cinema last night and would have liked to download the ticket to my iPad as I don't have a printer at home. Fortunately my neighbour was able to help, but it was a nuisance.
