Suddenly FaceTime is unable to connect. FaceTime starts and displays the "Connecting..." message. Within a few seconds the "Connection lost" message appears.

Nothing has changed in my WiFi environment. The problem occurs in other WiFi networks. All other network applications work normally (Messaging, eMail, Phone). I have turned FaceTime off/on several times. I have reset my network settings all to no avail. The Apple Store consultant suggested that I erase all content and settings and restore the phone from backup. I hope that I don't have to do this.

Suffering the same problem as everyone here and on other posts. Facetime on my iPhone 4 iOS6.1.3 just stopped working this week when I try to connect with another iPhone 4. Connection is fine to an iPhone 4S though.

The solution of cleaning out the data and restoring is unacceptable if the problem affects so many users. It also seems to help some and not others.

Hope Apple gets this solved soon. My iPhone experience is starting to wane.

Located in Apple's home state CA and use ATT as carrier.

Southern California Wed Aug 7 9 pm, FaceTime working again. It has nothing to do with our phones. It is an Apple issue, according to Apple. Mine worked at 8 am, 9am, not at noon, yes at 9:30 pm Pacific Coast time. Third time in two months this has happened (that I know of, could be more)

again, not a phone issue, an Apple tech issue and they ARE aware of it. don't let anyone say they aren't as Apple is who told me it was an Apple problem

best of luck. Frustrating at best

Same here!! Been like this over two months now. Probably have to wait for ios7 for it to be fixed!

Do we all have anything in common for this to occur?? I'm on Vodafone UK, iphone 4, latest 6.1.3 software and getting 'Connection Lost' when calling or receiving facetime from any apple device. Not willing to start with a fresh factory reset to fix this!
