Can't see my external drive on FCPX
I"m running FCPX on my 2013 Macbook Air. It runs fine but I can't see my external drive on FCPX all my projects/events library gets stored on my MB Air HD. Help.

The disk is formatted as FAT32. It should be formatted as Mac OS Extended.
I see If I do that will FCPX see the drive?
It should. FAT32 is not supported (and with good reason - it cannot have files larger than 4GB, for one thing).

Yes, absolutely. The drive must be Mac OS formatted for it to appear in FCP. You need to move all the contents of the drive off the drive, reformat the drive using Disk Utility, and then put the files back.

One last question I'm ready to format my external drive to Mac OS Extended but I have several options:
Journaled
Journaled Encrypted
Case-sensitive, Journaled, Enncrypted.
which is best?
Journaled. Don't encrypt.
