Follow me to solve iPad stuck on apple logo:
Connect the iPad by USB to the computer
Launch iTunes
Put the iPad into DFU mode by holding the Power button for 3 seconds, while continuing to hold the Power button also hold the Home button for 10 seconds, now release the Power button but continue to hold the Home button for another 15 seconds
iTunes will alert you saying an iPad has been detected in recovery mode, click “OK”
Now select the iPad in iTunes and click on the “Restore” button

RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug.
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary so that you can fix iPad stuck on Apple logo issue.

That's what Apple Support is good for, in your case ...
Apple Support
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
I went to the Genius Bar two weeks ago and the person who "took care of me" simply said my iPad was dead and would not work again because the screen hardware has faulty, I decided not to give up and tried to charge it two days ago, and the screen turn on!! It went from error 4005 to error 3194 and now no error it's just stuck on that screen every time and itunes on the same message. 😕
Oh thank you thank you thank you!
This was the advice I needed. No one else specified to hold onto the home button until the iTunes icon appeared. You brought my iPad back to life and my life back to iPad.
🙂
What piroz said worked great for me.
Thanks PIROZ ! You are an MVP.

Thanks, I'm at least in recovery mode after thinking I had a bricked iPad.
Sadly still experiencing this problem on my iPad 3 despite trying all the excellent tips given here. Even iTunes won't recognise my iPad when I connect it to my PC via USB. Is there anything else I can try? I did phone Apple Support but they want a lot of money to even talk to me.
Thank you for the advice to hold down the Home button as I connected the USB cable. Worked like a charm. Now I wonder WHY it froze like that??
You are the man, Piroz! Thank you so much. That got me into recovery mode.
