Hello,
I am not sure if you still visit this website, but my ipad "died" last night and I tried everything. I was heartbroken. I use it all the time. Today at work I did some web searching and came across your post. I saw that it helped people and I couldn't wait to get home and try it. It might seem silly but I have seen miracles in my life and I consider this one of them. I couldn't really afford to have it fixed. I had scheduled an appt. with an apple store which I am VERY happy to cancel. I just wanted to reach out and thank you. You made my day!!! Completely and totally!!! I appreciate you!
Sincerely,
Fellow ipad user
tnx a lot .
thank you SO MUCH for this. I tried everything, nothing worked, and this simple couple of steps did.
Thank you - this worked when the apple site was sending me to a store
Hi,
I noticed that if you are using Windows and are getting the (6) error, it may help to open Windows Explorer, when updating your iPad. I think it activates the the connection between iPad and USB port. Also make sure you have logged in to iTunes with your Apple account.
Same problem!
Any help. black screen flicker every 3 seconds when connected to computer. otherwise unresponsive
Recovery mode and DFU mode restore are good solutions for fixing iPad stuck on Apple logo if you have a latest backup of the iPad. If you don’t have a most current backup, the restore methods are not suggested as you may lose some data on your iPad.
Try the following solutions without restoring before you decide to restore with iTunes:
I am having similar issues. I have gone through the iTunes recovery, but the iPad is unresponsive.
Right now, I am unclear if I should unplug the device from my macbook pro.
Any support will be helpful before I make an appointment at a genius bar.
My ipod just did that then I plugged it into the computer to see if that would help..it didnt so with my ipod plugged into the computer I reset it (hold the off and home keys for 5-15 mins) then the plug into itunes thing poped up and it needed a update. That should help. The update will take 24 mins to download and after that itunes will restore your ipod... have fun. If you don't know how to fix iOS stuck on apple logo, you also can try some recovery tools.
The solution allowed me to access the iPad through iTunes in recovery mode.
Thanks for the instructions to gain access to the device after it doesn't respond.
If I do these instructions, what's gonna be happen to my stored files or saved applications inside my iPad? coz' I have the same issue.
Thank you so much! So helpful!
Hello all. I am SO close to solving this but iTunes is asking me to unlock my iPad with the password, but since it's frozen I can't input anything!
What to do?
It worked like a charm. Thank you.
Me, too. Followed steps 1-4, and now the only message I get is 'waiting for ipad'. The ipad screen shows the apple and a progress bar, but it's at zero.
