then it would say, allready installed.

Isn't that what it says? I assume "installiert" means "installed".

You are getting that error message when you click on the app name, correct? That just means there's no product page and you can't buy the app now. Since they don't sell the app, there's no reason for them to have a product page, and you don't need to go to that page to download apps you're already bought. If you have already bought the app, you can download it again using the buttons on the right although that's not an option on a machine that already has it installed (notice that it also won't let you download any other app that is already installed either). To test it you'd need to log into the app store on another mac that doesn't have logic or remove the Logic app from your hard drive.

I bought Logic Pro 9 last week, so contacted Apple Support to see if I could get a refund and apply it to Logic Pro X. No dice. Here's an excerpt from the response I received today:

"From reading your email, I understand that you are requesting for a refund for "Logic Pro" that you have purchased recently as it came out it with a new version. I know how eager you are to get this sorted. I'll do my best to assist.

In order to make sure this gets looked into thoroughly, I've consulted with a senior advisor. I'd asked if it was possible to issue a refund, but I'm sorry to say I wasn't able to get this done.

I was told, and I regret to inform you that your request has been denied. As stated in the iTunes Store Terms of Sale, all sales are final."

Hmmm.

I found this:

"You will be pleased to learn that if you purchased the old Logic Pro software within 30 days of Apple announcing the release of their latest Logic Pro X audio software you can now upgrade you old software to the latest version."

Do the posts on that site carry much (if any) weight?

The 'problem' with that story that orginated on TUAW .. is that it says...

First, if you bought Logic Pro within 30 days, consider contacting Apple support -- you MAY be able to get a refund (within a week).

(The formatting of the word MAY is my own to highlight it..)

MAY... and not WILL... which is exactly what we have been seeing all along... and I wouldn't be surprised, as the Author of that story does not state where he got that info from.. (He isn't quoting Apple for example) that he simply got that information reading websites and forums like this one.

So.. it's just another "This is what i have heard" story at the moment...

for someone who understands german here this is an excerpt of the letter i got from apple

which leads direct to the question how the warranty is solved.
at least a good price for upgrading would help out, which is the question in this thread.

OK Understandable...

But look, im not a so-called super-producer,

Im just a kid with creative flows looking for innovation and only expecting worthy from my buying. Money is not the isssue....

I dont mind spending even $399 but i must be advised first-hand on the X release and the discontinuation of Pro 9

So, i dont care on these so-called 'cheap' price factor (with comparison of Pro Tools upgrade etc) as mostly condoned by those 'seasoned' producer, analyser of Pro Toots, Cubase etc etc...

There are thousand others received the similar fate (of misinformed purchase decision) so it shows the INEFFICIENCY of Apple in handling the customers' situation....

Because im not a superproducer and with background in finance/accounting, i looked at it from business angle.... not about comparing with Pro Tools upgrade etc etc

If no Apple staff looking at this forum, then most messages/complaints go unfiltered/uncensored here.

And it is their Duty (the staff) to report on the management and revise their policy.....
