My one is from 01.06.2013..

What really is a bit freaky that for us investors they offer no official plan to update at this new release just some weeks later, there was even no information that it would be easier to wait to buy it as x version today.

At least some information that they plan to support updates for late arrivals at the last version would be nice, so it would help to understand why also support for logic pro stopped with the new x version.

This moment i assume they will have a plan, but please "apple" give som hints to us long term users!!

until now i invested since version logic 6 up to 900+350+180 = 1430 € until logic pro 9!

do we have to spend again 180 bugs or is there any plan about that?

nope, i can not aggree with you.

In my case i used allready the Feedback Formular from inside Logic to get more Informations direct from logic support.

As not expected the moment it is not possible to install an allready owned version on other Computers
with the same Apple-ID. Wich was part of the license when you buy in App Store, because the specific version is just not reachable anymore with app-store. (pic below)

At least this should be solved next and with this i'm sure they will offer a strategy to update as this happend also all versions before. Logic is meant as professional software, not just a APP for little mount of $.

Not to forgett that some of this professionals are selling again some expensive AU-plugins as 64bit mode enabled versions. Call "somebody" at Apple is not a very helpfull answer in this forum. We all are looking the same places where a costumer should look first.. maybe http://www.apple.com/support/logicstudio/

but the fact that once i owned mainstage and all the studio stuff for logic and there was no clear upgrade is kind of a not very clever strategy in costumer relations. logic studio was splitted in its parts. I hope they will not reach a point where they sell every sample from inside the app for 1$, but seems to come next
