error 3014 when trying to restore iphone

I keep getting error code 3014 when trying to restore my iphone 3g please help O am uding latest version of itunes. It will sync phne, and backup but will not restore.

iPhone 3G, iOS 4.2, error code # 3014

Also, keep in mind if you've used a thurd party program to change your computer ports, such as Tiny Umbrella, these is no way we can help you.

This helped me too. Was pulling my hair out over this 'unable to restore' message and all along it was the windows firewall. Thank you!
