App Store updates blank

I have a red "1" on my App Store app, telling me one of my apps needs to be updated. But when I go to the updates it won't show anything, it's just blank. Everything else in the App Store works but I can't see the updates.any suggestions?

Saw this on another posting and it worked to clear the numbers, but the update page is not showing the arrow and "all apps are up to date" so I'm not sure if this was an ACTUAL fix:

Go to settings>I tunes & app stores> press your id then sign off

close all apps by double pressing the home button and hitting the red "minus" sign.

Go to settings>General>Reset>Reset all

When reboot occurs turn on your Apple id again.

Your personalizations will reset but you won't lose your Apps or data.

This worked as described for my iPad4.

Go into Settings > General > International > Language and choose British English, then hit the Done button. The screen will go black with a comment about Language Settings. Be Patient, especially if you have a lot of apps. Let it run it's course and Then open the App Store again. Voila! Upgrade list is back. And it stuck when i changed back to plain English. He doesn't know why. I don't either. But I am now a happy camper. Worked on my 3rd gen iPad and iPad Mini.

Hope it works for you!

After reading more posts, I am guessing that the change language settings does some major reset that kicks the app upgrade into working again. The close the App Store didn't work for me, neither did a reset. But the language thing did. Whatever it takes! As long as I don't have to do a Restore connected to my iMac. Doing that once is one to many!

I tried almost every "fix" for the past few days and nothing worked. Then I came across this solution that sounds crazy but it actually did work for me:

- kill the App Store (hold home button, hold icon down till wiggles, tap red minus sign on app)

- go to settings, change slide switch from mute to lock rotation.

- turn iPad in landscape position, lock in this orientation.

- launch app store and try getting the updates. When done, re-set your slide switch setting back to mute.

I tried that several times but it did not work for me. The only thing that did work is what I posted above. It's so strange that the fixes seem to be different all across the board. What works for one person might not work for someone else. What works for that person may or may not have worked for the other. Madness!
