iMessage is not working on my mac.

I have been able to use iMessage in over a few weeks.

The problem may be that you need to log out of your iCloud account on your mac then log back in. That would be the first step.

This did not work for me. I sign in using my username and password in the imessage preferences box. Then a window pops up asking me to enter my iMessage password. There is a checkbox asking me to remember this in my keychain. After I enter the password the box reappears. This happens over and over again. To make sure I'm typing in the correct password, I purposely type in a wrong password and I am told the password is incorrect. So I know it's not that.

Cmon, guys...

"Restart your computer" – that what has actually helped you to fix Messages.

I had the same problem.

But I DIDN'T HAVE Flash. I don't have it now as well.

And I tried different technicks to fix Messages.

But at the end I realized that the only thing I had to do is just to restart.

And it has worked.

So don't blame Flash for things it didn't cause.

I don't know how this worked, but frankly, all I care about is that it DID work! Thanks for the weird-but-working solution!

 ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player Storage

and click

Block all sites from storing information on this computer

Close the preference pane. If this action solves the problem, please post your results.

Restart your computer and you should be good to go!
