Midi notes hanging with Logic X

I have a M-Audio Keystation 88, and using Logic Pro X 10.2 and since about 3 days ago I am experiencing hanging notes very often too.

my system;

iMac 27 ´ (mid 2010) 16 Gb Ram

I use OS X 10.9.5 and midi keyboard is connected with a USB cable.

Have been using this for a few months and NEVER had a problem before, not even once.

I installed the Mackie surface controller recently, after one of the functions buttons stopped responding properly on my keyboard. Perhaps that´s the problem ...

Don´t know how to remove it, as I right click and select delete the Mackie surface controller, but it doesn´t seem to delete it.

I'm experiencing the same problems. I have an Imac 27", mid 2011. 3,4 GHz Intel Core i7

I use OS X 10.10.5

I use it with a Casio CDP-120, connected with a USB. I do not have any problems with this keyboard in logic 9, or in other midi modules. But iin Logic X, the notes are stuck as soon as I play the keyboard.

Same issue--was running fine two days ago--now notes are hanging crazy like I am in St. Paul's Cathedral. I have an Akai MPK Mini, which is great for on the road work. Logic has had an upgrade this past week, and I think there lies my problem. Fortunately I have a backup controller that does work with Logic so I am not burned for now. I'd like to get this sorted as the Akai is a great little board couples with Logic X. Anyone find anything on this?

I too am having stuck notes issues like mad with the recently-updated Logic on a top end 13" macbook pro driven by a Novation Impulse 61 - which used to work fine, with never a stuck note. I was wondering if using a USB2 port instead of a USB3 port would make a difference. It's very frustrating, I am using no USB hubs, everything connected directly to the computer.

I think it has to do with new Controller selection defaults...

If you go up to the Logic Pro menu in the upper left and select Preferences/Control Surfaces/ and then Bypass All Control Surfaces... then quit Logic then restart Logic, are the hanging notes still there?

i will try it, and this is entirely possible because I added a Behringer X-Control recently, however I intend to use my Impulse 61 and the X-Control at the same time, it's kinda the whole point. Maybe if I disable automap?

CCan you make sure you have the latest version of the AMT8 driver installed? you might want to use an App named MiIDI Monitor to check where the hanging notes come from.

Not really any information in your post: what plugins cause the hanging notes?

Thats why I asked what plugins did you use? Only MIDI plugins and software instruments can have hanging notes, so which ones are triggering the problem?

Are you using MIDI Plugins before the instruments? Is it MIDI interface specific? Try to isolate the issue.

Although the cable does work on Windows with USB 3 support so it's something particular to Apple's USB 3 implementation.

This must be related to a different issue as I too use a MOTU EXpress XT with a Voyager and absolutely no problems here with LPX and hanging notes...

Right.. but did you install 10.8.x (Mountain Lion) just prior to installing Logic Pro X?

Or were you already running Mountain Lion when you were using Logic Pro 9?
