Bose soundlink mini cannot update
I tried to update my Blose soundlink mini so I can use bluetooth with it, however, my soundlink mini cannot be detected by the updating software and I wonder what part of the instruction has I done wrong?

I have contacted with Bose, they said there needs to be an update for the software to detect and perform the task. Since there is no update yet for the mini, the software seems to be stuck and not detecting. I have told them that this is not a convenient way of feedback from software as user may be assuming the software is not working properly. It would have been better for the software to show it detects the item and if there is no update available at the time, notify this with a massage feedback. They said i am certainly wright about this and that they will pass this topic to software engineers.
has anyone figure out how to get the AUX blinking lights working. I downloaded the driver like the installer said, I have a good USB cable, I press the AUX for 10 seconds and got blinking lights and yes... it's plugged in to AC. The software will simply not recognize it and nothing is happening. I do get the cut in/out music with bluetooth and hope the update fixes this issue. Any thoughts?
I've got this annoying cut in/out while playing music with MBP as well, and it only happens when battery indicates orange.
It works flawlessly when it's fully charged, but when turn it on the next day, it starts the cut in again...
Trying update the firmware without luck, guess there's no update for it😟 yet
I have the same problem but I tried to clear a speaker memory by pressing a bluetooth button for 10 sec. until you hear the sound
And it did work, no cutting off, no self shut down so far but I still fingers crossed for an officially update arrive
Sorry, I mean I did download the softwares update from bose but then when I tried to follow the steps to update it I was stuck at the place where it needs to detect my device.
Your BOSE Mini SoundLink needs to be connected to AC, otherwise it won't update.
Has anyone figured this out, as I am having the same problem. My Mini is hooked up to power and the lights flash, but my PC will not detect the speaker and start the update.
I have the same issue with a MacBook Air (Mavericks) and the Bose SoundLink Mini.
Deconnecting and reconnecting seems to solve the issue.
I don't have the issue with iPhone and iPad.
The insructions DO say to plug in to power, and people have tried this yet it is still not working.
There is no Software/Firmware update for the SoundLink Mini.
@mbjammer have you found any solution to the "my sound link keeps switching off at intervals when I'm playing it off its base." That's happening to me too.
