For the last two weeks, I have downloaded photos from my camera's memory card into i-photo, and they have appeared, but then when I next load i-photo they have gone.
I have unfortunately deleted the photos off the camera at the time of import and have no back up 😟
The only other thing I have noticed is that an "Image Capture" window keeps opening now when I start up the computer/i-photo, which I had never seen before until a couple of weeks ago.
Any suggestions please?

I have managed to find the i-photo library but cannot right click on it.
Try Control-clicking on the iPhoto LIbrary package:
I tried this too but no joy. All I am able to do is 'normal' click on it to open it
What system and iPhoto versions are you running?
Download and run Find Any File to search for "Library6.iPhoto". That's a file that exists in every iPhoto Library package. You can tell where the library is in the search results window. Go there and try to Control-click on the library to get this menu:

Have just tried to import some more photos, in two lots. Importing the second lot meant that the 1st lot disappeared. I can then only find the 2nd lot in last import, and the 1st ones are nowhere to be seen

I have just by accident, found the photos, and they are being dated as Jan 2011 and then put in the files with all the photos from Jan 2011.
Does anyone know if this this a fault with the camera or i-photo, and how to rectify it?

Camera - turn it on and check the date - it is wrong - you can set it but there is a small battery in the camera to keep the date and other settings that may have died - if so check your camera manual or dealer for details on replacing
To fix the photos imported with incorrect dates select them and use the adjust tiem and date command

That's a file inside the iPhoto Library package. You need to right click on the iPhoto LIbrary package itself.
