Too all the people out there getting this "2002F" error, i have a solution for people in Australia.

I recently replaced my mbp 2012 hdd with a new ssd and was getting this error for over a week.

i changed the DNS setting on my router from 0.0.0.0 to googles public DNS 8.8.8.8

woohoo ! internet recovery worked instantly for me 🙂

I wish I had seen the "resetting router to Google" replies before tearing my hair out.

However I found a non-technical solution which was not using an ethernet cable (as the Macbook Pro obviously doesn't have an ethernet port, and wouldn't recognise the USB adaptor I bought) but in my office I use internet sharing on an oooooold MBP. For whatever reason internet recovery liked that signal unlike my home TPLink router.

I could have kissed the screen when I finally saw a loading bar - my local Apple Reseller wanted £50 to look at it.

Hope this helps someone out there.
