For no apparent reason, Firefox is blocking a particular website on my iMac -www.ellenmacarthurfoundation.org. Seems to be a local issue...

One paticular website www.ellenmacarthurfoundation is blocked when I try to access it on my iMac when using Firefox or Safari. This does not happen with any other website. I have checked with the site and they have no issues at their end so it is definitely something to do with my machine but I don't understand or trust any of the advice I have been given so far. help!

Firefox message:

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.ellenmacarthurfoundation.org.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

moments.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

connection.

If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Safari just doesn't load.

Note that, if your profile is correct and you are using Mac OS X 10.4.11, malware would not be out of the question. That system is missing all of the anti-malware protections added to later versions of Mac OS X, and is quite outdated at this point. There have been a few instances of malware intended to target older systems within the last year, so just because it's old doesn't mean nobody's interested in infecting it.

Edit: I should point out, though, that I don't think malware is particularly likely, just possible.
