Hotmail not connecting to server iPhone 5

Of course it's the phone's fault. Because it's not working. And it's not possible that the problem lies with a third-party! It's always the device's fault.

I've still not had any luck rebuilding my hotmail or outlook account as they like to call it now, on my iPad. My iphone5 account is built as an Exchange account from pre hotmail migration to outlook and I have folders for all my emails. They unfortunately are not getting updates, because the connection to the server failed. Another reason to completely divest myself from MS. Maybe if, when m.hotmail.com server gets stable (haha), ill try rebuilding my account again on the iPad. I have deleted it and rebuilt it at least 30 times, with no connection to the server success. I've had these accounts for years operating ok on the iPad and the last year for iPhone, but what is the problem with MS and their inability to fix the servers. This is not rocket science.

Hi AAN2, thanks again for trying, but I don't have a client copy of outlook which would have the .pst files. All I have is a hotmail account and see no way of saving emails and exporting them from the MS live web site, either pc or mobile.

Problem solved with me now, now i m rcvg all mails with no limit. Please delete your account restart and try. I think problem solved from microsoft.

Problem not fixed for me. Connection to server fails........ I don't think they have quite fixed the problem for everyone.

It looks like I do not have a problem at all anymore. Try change it to full month. It looks like they are gradually recovering. If soltion works even temporary click like ....it helps others to find answers.

Problem is still not fixed for me. Hope Microsoft solve the problem for everybody.

Last night, Saturday August 17, I left my hotmail account built as Hotmail on iPad and set everything up to PUSH. This morning, Sunday, all my folders are on the iPad fully populated with all history. I'm back to normal, hope everyone has the same experience by now or very soon.

Would still appreciate it anyone knows how I can down load and save (and later use by opening in email) some of my very old Hotmail email history so I don't ever lose these. Is anyone aware of how to do this using Apple or other products? Thanks
