Thanks u all.

After going back and forth, i was not sure how to do this tweak.

I tried to uninstall quicktime which was creating issue and restarted my computer. Now it works for me.

Thanks for posting this fix!

I despise iTunes on the PC. It is the flakiest, most unreliable piece of software I've ever had the misfortune to have to use.

Apple should hang their heads in shame that it takes their customers to post a fix for a problem that shouldn't occur in the first place.

Thank you for sharing the info lionhartz. Also solved my crashing iTunes issue on my Windows 8 HP Envy 64bit.

Problem occurred after an Intel driver update last night and I'd tried uninstalling / re-installing / cleaning registry out etc etc - nothing worked. Your fix worked first time.

I have a new Toshiba and seem to have a problem with iTunes crashing, only different from your issues.

I need to restore my iPhone. It will see my phone and allow me to click on all options until I click on APPS. This is when iTunes crashes. I tried the fix you suggested, but it still crashes.

I removed iTunes, updated the computer.

Not sure what else to do.

Any suggestions? Thanks

oh my gosh i read what you said wrong and replaced the path variables instead of adding them to the end... could someone please copy and paste what the final product should look like because i still can't get on itunes store and now i feel like i'm screwed 😟 i just need to see what the path variable should look like as a final product. PLEASE HELP ME

If you've been following the whole thread, all you'll get is success stories. I have an idea! How about you try it? Takes only a couple of minutes and you can always report back if it does not work for some reason. Faster to try it than to post the question here even 🙂
