iTunes 11 crashes when I open the store.

I have tried repairing, uninstalling the entire apple suite ( described in a different article on apple support website), reinstalling, opening in safe mode, changing users, changing the firewall and antivirus settings, clearing the itunes cache, updating iTunes and Windows, and countless reboots. I'm on a brand new pc with Windows 7, so this is really frustrating. I can open my library, but when I click on the store, it loads about 3/4 of the way and stalls. I then get a message that says iTunes has stopped working, and I can either close it or "look online for a solution." But that never helps.

What worked for me was CUTTING (not copying) the QTMovieWin.dll from c:\program files (x86)\common files\apple\apple application support\ INTO c:\program files (x86)\iTunes. My iTunes now works. I'm finally able to check my account without having iTunes crash! I had tried everything without any luck, including rolling back the HD 4000 display driver, disabling the HD 4000 display driver, changing the PATH variable, and uninstalling iTunes and Apple software and reinstalling. Thank you!

So... after going through this I found the fix posted by lionhartz, but didn't understand how to actually do the fix, after reading part of page two, I found the post by Range Ruler on August 30, 2013. Went to c:\program files (x86)\common files\apple\apple and found QTMovieWin.dll, checked to see if it was something I needed to edit in it, which there wasn't. On a random thought of, "Maybe QTMovieWin.dll got corrupted." I deleted it and then emptied the recycle bin. Now iTunes wouldn't launch at all, so I redownloaded and reinstalled iTunes. After reinstalling iTunes the store opened perfectly with no problems. So yet another way to fix this weird error for everyone. Hope it helps.

After scrolling through all of this, I decided to just delete QuickTime which fixed the problem at once with no reboot of my computer necessary.

Can't believe that this problem has been going on for so long and happens so abruptly and suddenly (I've been using iTunes without problem since its last update on 16 May 2014) and Apple still hasn't fixed the issue!
