Your unit is faulty.. return it immediately to Apple for replacement.

At worst the LED should blink amber.. to go off means it has shut down.

WEIRD SAME HERE!

It was restarting randomly the first few hours and now its working perfectly... However I'm getting slow transfer speeds when using Windows 8 and Server 2012.

I have the same issue - bought my TC 3TB on the 24/8/13, the first 4-5 days it was working fine and then it starts shutting down randomly and I have to power cycle it to get it going again.

I have the same problem apparently...I bought the TC (2TB) about two weeks ago. Now out of a sudden I have to unplug/plug the cord once a day. I guess it is time to send it back.

I just had my Time Capsule replace by my local Apple Store under warrenty.

Add me to this list. Just bought a 2TB TC about 2 months ago and it's going the same thing. Randomg wifi goes away. Green light is off. Pull/Reinsert the cord fixes it. It barely warm to the touch, so it doesn't seem like a heat/venting issue.

Add me too ! I've had the 2 TB model for about 5 weeks.

At that time I also got my wife a new MBA 13", with CPU upgrade and ram upgrade.

To throw more fuel on the fire - it was randomly shutting down.

My wife went to Germany for 3 weeks with the MBA and me and the kids experienced not one shut down.

Wife returned and lo and behold - shutdowns are back.

Solution - return the wife.

Nah - seriously, something flaky there.

Count me in the "needs a software upgrade" camp.

edit: I'm going to hook her MBA up on Ethernet rather connecting on wifi and see if that resolves the issue.

Will report back in a few days.

FWIW, when this happens to me, no one connected has any of the new MBAs that support the higher speeds. Just older computers.
