The tweet "" cannot be sent because the connection to Twitter failed.

I had been ignoring this problem. Today it was driving me crazy. Tried troubleshooting it a number of ways...Until I did what you recommended. I deleted my twitter acc't and added back in. Yay! I can now post from Tumblr to Twitter. Thanks so much for your instructions!

This issue occurred for me because I had previously changed my Twitter password via my laptop and simply needed to re-enter my password on my phone in settings>twitter. As others have said, you don't necessarily need to delete your entire account, try re-entering your password first 🙂

And here on October 18, it worked as well. Took me 2 hours of searching, but I got it and thanks very much.

I had a similar problem after upgrading to the iPhone 6 Plus and iOS8. I was unable to tweet photos or links to websites. I was able to correct the problem by doing the following ...

- Select iPhone settings app

- Select Twitter

- Select my account name and re-enter my password

- Log in

Just started this week to not be able to tweet a link from Safari on my iPhone 6

I can post from my iPad no problem

I have tried all of the above fixes and nothing has worked

Still can't tweet a link from a Safari webpage

Anybody else come up with a different fix?
