Song shows as "Purchased" in iTunes and won't let me re-download it, but it doesn't show up in my Purchased list. I want the song back, don't mind re-downloading, but it won't let me

I don't know if you solved this already but go to your iTunes App then scroll down and tap on your Apple ID then view your account then scroll to hidden purchases and tap Music Movies or TV Shows, and there should be all your purchases.

Are you ready for this easy answer?

-Top left corner of your screen click on "Account"

-Click on "View My Account"

-Scroll down to "iTunes in the Cloud"

-2nd option is "Hidden Purchases" and beside that on the right, click on "Manage"

-Click on "Albums" or "Songs" in the middle of the screen

-On the far right side you will have the option to "Unhide"

You will have to unhide every song individually. Once you've done that you now have to:

-Click on "Account" on the top left again

-And then click on "Purchased"

-Click on "Albums or "Songs" in the middle of the screen

-On the far right you will see the cloud with the download arrow pointing down.

You will have to download every song individually.

I've finally figured this out. Takes a while, but you get your music back.

Hi! I was having all kinds of problems with this. I just figured it out this way. You probably did what I did, you cut/pasted from your itunes library to your iphone/ipod whatever. That way you deleted the original copies of the songs on your computer AND in itunes.

What I did, was go into "mymusic" when in Itunes, Click "Songs" and you should see all your songs that you bought. Now, what I did was delete all of them, and then after that, the download cload should be beside all your songs again. Then all you have to do is re-download them all right there. You can select all of them at once and hit download. Worked for me. Just did it,

except you cannot cut/paste from iTunes to your iPhone.

In account info and above purchase history, the manage hidden purchase is exactly where my missing album went, even though I JUST bought it and did not click anything to hide it. Wasted 3 hours finding this solution, but finally found it, thanks!

This happened to me too, and I was very upset about it. I tried to hide all of my song purchases since they were all downloaded accidentally to my families laptop, and that messed a lot of my purchases up. After reading a lot of these answers I decided to mess around with the ITunes store. I clicked on my apple ID at the very bottom of the ITunes store and pressed: view apple ID. Then I went to hidden Purchases, clicked on music, and then I pressed not on this phone. All of my songs were on there so I re-downloaded them. I now have all of my songs back. I hope this helps 🙂

None of the previous answers worked for me, but I found the solution.

1. Go to iTunes (not from the settings, the ITunes app) and scroll all the way down

2. Click on your apple ID and choose "View Apple ID"

3. It says "Hidden Purchases" just under Country/Region. Click that and all of your hidden purchases are ready to be re-downloaded.

I am 99.9% sure that this will work!

This is exactly what I needed, thank you so much! I've had this issue for the longest and I'm currently at work, so do not have access to my computer to do this through actual ITunes. I was needing to find a way to do this on my actual IPhone and you had it! I did exactly what you listed and was able to re-download all the songs that magically disappeared. Thank you so much!

The solution I amen across is actually simple and easy, ok so in iTunes you search that song and go into the songs tab, click purchase and it will ask you for your iTunes password, enter it and it will tell you that you have already purchased the song would you like to re download, click yes.

This has happened to me as well. ITunes has "hidden" the song and you need to in hide this. To unhide any songs on mac or pc open iTunes>account>View my account and scroll down to "ITunes in the cloud", it should then say Hidden purchases: Unhide any hidden, re-downloadable purchases. Then click manage to the right of it and you should be able to find any song ever purchased not in you "downloadable" library.

Go to the Account menu and select View My Account; look for the iTunes in the Cloud section and the Hidden Purchases (Unhide any hidden, redownloadable purchases) category, click the Manage link there. On the next page, hidden albums and songs will be shown with an Unhide button on each.

I just had this problem and all you have to do is click to buy the song and you type in your password and it will tell you that you can download it for free because it's purchased

I tried to figure this out and I couldn't restore my purchase so I went into the album on iTunes Store and downloaded the songs individually even tho it will say 1.99$ or whatever after u hit buy it will say already purchased do u want to download again.

This is an automatic email that is generated based on the preferences you have set up. If you take the time to read the email, you will see a link in the body that allows you to "change your email preferences". Click on that to manage the emails.

I had the same problem! None of the suggestions worked. I figured out how to sort it out.

Go into ITunes

Click on your Apple ID account

Veiw Apple ID

There should be a HIDDEN PURCHASED button

And all of the music is there.
