Find My iPhone keeps disabling on its own?

Its a verizon iPhone 4S running 6.1.3. Find my iPhone under the iCloud settings keeps disabling itself. it doesnt even ask me for permission. It just randomly does it on its own. It usually turns off in a day or 2. I've seen it turn off in hours though. Could it be something I did? I've tried putting on restrictions and disable account changes but its as useful as a calculator on an english test. Has anyone had this problem?

I have done everything ato my son's iPhone nd nothing seemed to help. After deleting 'OSM Online Soccer Manager' I thought that I fixed the problem, but a week later it came back. I have formatted the phone twice and put all data and settings back via the back up on iTunes, also that did not resolve the problem with Find My Phone. The only thing that has resolved the problem for over 3 weeks now is deleting all settings and data from the iPhone and NOT restoring from the back up in iTunes, but after formatting the iPhone I have manually put back all the Apps and other data. For the last 3 weeks Find My Phone has worked the whole day and every day. There must have been something corrupted in the back up file from the iPhone, I do not know what. But this has fixed the problem for us.

Well, I'll throw a curve ball into the mix. I have an ipad Mini 16gb Wifi which constantly signs out of find my iphone. When I sign back in, I have to enter my icloud password every minute or I get logged out again. My mail disappears, I loose my contacts and all my photo streams go. When I activate everything again, the process starts again. Every minute on the minute, I have to enter my password until I get fed up and click cancel.

It is quite annoying as my kids will use my ipad and forget where it is so I use find my iphone to sound off.

Has any one got any clue what would cause this as I'm at the end of my tether and I can't be bothered to do yet another hard reset.

Same thing is happening to me on IOS 7.1 with an Iphone 4s!

After about 2 days of turning "Find my iPhone" it back on, it turns off, completely on its own.

If I try to turn it off manually, it prompts me for a password, yet it seems to turn itself off for no reason, and never asks me for a password.

I wish Apple would fix this, not very secure and doesn't help if phone is lost or stolen.

My wife and I both have 4S phones and are operating IOS 7.1. We have had a similar thing happening to us. We constantly get requests to give our account passwords, we have lost all of our contacts, and our phones have signed out of Find My iPhone. When we did a hard reset on our phones, our contacts came back. Of course, we didn't even notice that the Find My iPhone app had turned itself off until we tried to find our phones. 😮 We are downloading the IOS 7.1.1 update to see if that helps.

I opened a ticket with Apple:

Here is what they said:

1) Delete icloud from phone and put back. I did this.Looks like this worked for about 7 days and now iCloud is disabled again in the phone

2) Compltely reset phone and erase all settings and start over. Do not restore from a backup - going to try this tonight. Although it will be a pain to put everything back the way it was, I will try this as a last resort.

What device are you using? I noticed on my iPhone 4 that I had thought Find My iPhone was turning itself off, but in actuality the setting was just loading slowly from iCloud.

Try restarting your device, then go to Settings app > iCloud and scroll to Find My iPhone and leave it there for a few moments. If Find My iPhone doesn't turn on after a few moments (15-30 seconds tops) then manually turn it on, restart your iPhone and repeat.
