All my reminders have disappeared - how can I retrieve them?

I use the reminders app across 2 iMacs, an iPhone and an iPad. Everything has always synced beautifully, until now: all my personal reminders have disappeared (and there were a lot of them). On my home iMac, iPhone and iPad, the reminder icon shows a red circle with '3' in it. When I go to the app, those 3 reminders are tasks from my Outlook Exchange calendar. On my work iMac, the reminder icon shows a red circle with '52' in it - that's roughly the correct number of uncompleted reminders in my list. But when I go to the application, they're not there - all I can see are the 3 Exchange tasks. So where have they gone?? The work iMac is suggesting that they still exist... somewhere. If I log directly into my iCloud account, there's still no sign of them.

I just lost all of my 65 reminderd and all my info on each of the 6 lists I had. I had added a couple items to a list and all was fine. Then boom 💥 everything is just zeroed out. This just happened this am and I had changed nothing except adding those items to a list. Anyone else's magically disappear this morning 12/3/17 app 10 am or so? I use my gmail for my iCloud account. Always have. Nothing changed. That was literally yeats worth of reminders following me thru new phones.

HELP!!!! They are gone off iPad too. Seems iCloud zeroed out and synced to devices as all zeroed. Again. Please HELP if you can.

Are you thinking that the list might have existed locally, one one of my devices, without me realising this was the case? It's possible, I guess. But I added the various reminders from all my different devices - how would that be possible if the list only 'existed' on one of them? I also don't know how I would accidentally have deleted the entire thing. And it doesn't explain why my work iMac is still showing '52' in the Reminders icon - this is the straw I'm clutching at!

I've got various backups - a full backup of my iPhone which is about two weeks old; I already tried restoring the iPhone from this, and it made no difference. I'm running Time Machine on my home iMac. And this morning, I exported copies of both iCal and Reminders on my work iMac (just in case that's where a local version of the reminder list exists).

SEveral times om my iPhone 4G(or is it 4S), and ever since updating to IOS 7.0.3, my reminders have periodically disappeared. Nothing I've researched on the support forums solves my problem. It's odd because sometimes the reminders are there and other times it'll tell me that I don't have any! That's bologna! Background refresh is turned off, iCloud account, yahoo, and gmail accounts all have reminders activated.

IM open pen to suggestion. I'd like a permanent solution to this rediculous problem.

Yes, I solved my own reminders from disappearing totally. Here's what worked for me...

[i use an iPhone 4G]

(1) open reminders from you app on your iPhone. Most likely you'll see the word REMINDERS and nothing in your list.

(2) click the "+" sign at the top right.

(3) give your new fake list a name (like TEST 1).

(4) make another fake list name (like TEST2).

(5) all of a sudden a list of all the reminder lists will appear.

(6) scroll through you list of 3 or 4 lists of reminders and open the one with YOUR NAME....example: "john_Doe" and your reminders will be there.

THIS WORKS FOR previously named lists of reminders as well.

Let me know if this helps you.

Resetting the sync settings (switched from sync 1 month to sync all) for Reminders and turning the Reminders icloud sync on & off restored mine. I also noticed beforehand, that all my lists were there and everything was in the "completed" list, which I usually keep hidden. No idea why they were all marked as completed, but they were there.

When you go into the iCloud settings and turn reminders on then exit and go back in is it off again?

If so, make sure to turn the Calender on with Reminders.

My reminders totally disappeared on my iPhone 4s a few weeks ago. I couldn't create any new reminders, but today I decided to turn the Calendar on with Reminders as well and this made everything work again.

All my reminders have disappeared - how can I retrieve them?
