Sudden loss of audio.

I'm running Logic Pro X at its latest update. I'm a guitarist and I only write instrumentals.

I run my guitar through a 1/4inch to USB cable into my macbook pro.

Everything has been running great, it sounds great. For some reason

I can't get any audio coming from my guitar tracks. Any audio track or software

instrument works fine but my guitar tracks that I always go to do not work.

I can't hear my playing while i'm recording and while i'm not.

This all of a sudden happened tonight and It had been working fine

probably an hour earlier.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it. I need this for work.

There's no chance that you're overloading the input and Logic is shutting the gain down on that track to protect your hardware is there?

It happened to me by mistake a few times, and can't remember what it does to compensate to see if it applies on your screenshot - Sure it moves the volume slider down and yours is up.

Also, you've got automation set to read on all those tracks, is it possible there's automation that's affecting one of the plugins or something? i.e. turning the automation off on all tracks, does that help?

Ah ok, if you can hear the guitar on playback (As you require i presume?) then i think your issue is that you need Software Monitoring enabled in the audio options so that when you record enable a track you can hear it being processed live.

I'm pretty sure Logic automatically turns the gain down on the track if it's doing what i first suggested, and that isn't showing on your screenshot.

Sudden loss of audio.
