IOS 7 wallpaper resizing will not shrink photo to fit screen...

After update, wallpaper stretchs larger than image. Unable to resize smaller to fit screen. My photo only measures 24k @ 261x231 and is HUGE; bigger than the screen can accommodatem (shrink). Cannot resize smaller to fit screen. Any ideas/suggestions? I have tried resizing my photo (smaller crop in size and dimensions) and photos render too large for screen. Cannot resize smaller to fit. I know I am repeating myself. Just to be clear. Am I doing something incorrectly in IOS 7? Any ideas/suggestions or similar problems solving input would be appreciated.

I found an extremely easy way to do it that's too easy to be true, but it worked for all of the ones I tried and should work on any iOS7 device. First go to the photo album or wherever you have the pic you want to make a wallpaper of. Once you select the pic you want, turn the device sideways, adjust the pic how you want it, take a scren shot (make sure you clear the crap around it first), rotate it back, then go into your settings and apply that item from your device's photo album. The pic will be small enough to fit into the screen, and by rotating it sideways when you took the screen shot you took care of the bleedover so it actually fits. I've done this with a bunch of photos and it worked every time.

Hope this helps everyone.

spi600 and all,

reading all these work-arounds.....do you realize that for every picture you want to use for a wall paper, you will be storing two pictures? So let's see how this looks.

1. Download picture

2. Save and organize into folder/album/event/share(iCloud)

3. Do one of many available solutions

4. Save and organize into folder/album/event/share(iCloud)

How many versions of one picture do we need? In prior versions of iOS, one. With iOS7, at least two.

Aloha Onesam

Thanks for the link

Add a small change to the workaround

Set option to reduce motion off as in the link

Set wall paper as normal - size / scale / position - give yourself some room for the shifting of the image

Go back to ipad settings and turn off the reduce motion

You should have the wallpaper you want and the motion shifting should be back ... Work on mine cool deal

Give it a go

I have tried this. Again. Just now before writing this, and It does not work. It does not work for every photo, ios7 just does not allow photo resizing to work as it used to. I have been using the same photo I had resized in a couple of seconds on ios6. When you spend this much money on a device, the manufacturers of the device should not take away a feature that you need and replace it with one you don't want. In this case, is just not acceptable to have to use a "work around" or an app for a feature that is standard on ALL devices, including my android phone.
