IOS 7 wallpaper resizing will not shrink photo to fit screen...

After update, wallpaper stretchs larger than image. Unable to resize smaller to fit screen. My photo only measures 24k @ 261x231 and is HUGE; bigger than the screen can accommodatem (shrink). Cannot resize smaller to fit screen. Any ideas/suggestions? I have tried resizing my photo (smaller crop in size and dimensions) and photos render too large for screen. Cannot resize smaller to fit. I know I am repeating myself. Just to be clear. Am I doing something incorrectly in IOS 7? Any ideas/suggestions or similar problems solving input would be appreciated.

No true Apple user cares about work arounds. We are talking here about errors in Apple programming that has been there simce the release of iOS 7.0, years ago.

This is about the disconnect at Apple with their own programming.

I have found a temporary solutuion. download the app instasquare. Select your photo and then click blur. Pinch the photo till it Is fairly small. save it. Put it as your wallpaper. This way your photo is repeated and doesnt look too bad. Just am trying to find a way to reduce the blurring on the original photo.User uploaded file

This is how big you should make your photo. If your photo is portrait just rotate this pictur.

to do this u must edit the picture under photos... once you have selected the edit button on the top right hand corner select either crop or the reconfigure button... fix it so that the subject of the picture is in it and so that the picture fits the screen of you phone... set it as wall paper and see if this helps... If you cant get this to work than you must select a different photo

I "Must" huh. Nope. This is a glitch in Apples ios. Move & Scale no longer works, period. I'm not going through any hoops to get this to work, LIKE IT USED TO! Apple is failing day after day while Cook is out of the office. This needs to be fixed so it works again. Errors and glitches like this are showing up everywhere. Work a rounds won't cut it. A new CEO might be needed.

Sixty two pages of people complaining about this malfunction of iOS and no response from Apple to fix it. It is September 29th, 2016, and another iOS is out 10.0.2. iOS after iOS and Apple does not fix this issue. It began with iOS 7 and has been broken ever since.

If Tim Cook is so out of touch with what is going on with their software, maybe it's time for him to step down and let someone come in who responds to the customers. This is obviously a problem for the customer. We don't need "work arounds". That is an idea which IBM and Compaq embrace. Apple used to be about "it just works". This feature has been broken since iOS 7 and we don't see any response from Apple to solve the problem. Terrible.

You might as well remove the Apple logos from all the stores and place a Microsoft logo there.
