IOS 7 wallpaper resizing will not shrink photo to fit screen...

After update, wallpaper stretchs larger than image. Unable to resize smaller to fit screen. My photo only measures 24k @ 261x231 and is HUGE; bigger than the screen can accommodatem (shrink). Cannot resize smaller to fit screen. Any ideas/suggestions? I have tried resizing my photo (smaller crop in size and dimensions) and photos render too large for screen. Cannot resize smaller to fit. I know I am repeating myself. Just to be clear. Am I doing something incorrectly in IOS 7? Any ideas/suggestions or similar problems solving input would be appreciated.

I also wish I had NEVER updated my iPad to ios7! Now I am stuck! However, I have three iPods and a MacBook, and you better believe I am NOT going to update those - EVER!! I belong to a very creative family, we are all artists and musicians, in addition to being doctors, engineers and nurses. We loved (past tense) Apple products because of their look, feel and design. Because of the ego of those now in charge, they have alienated their most loyal customers. Our phones and devices no longer work or look like we want them to. The simple functions that use to always just work, no longer do. For Christmas this year, all the twenty something's wanted Samsung and other non-Apple devices, so that is what they got! My 22 year old nephew LOVES his new Galaxy S4! So you see, Jony, we do NOT like your vision, and now we do not like your products. Not just 55 year olds like me, but also the 19and 22 year olds as well. It's not that we don't like change, as long as everything works as it did when we spent lots of money to purchase our devices, we are fine to adapt. But when you give us no choice, and make our devices difficult to use, that is when we give up and switch to devices that do not have issues. You have made some big mistakes. Don't you think you had better listen to us now, and fix them? I sure do like the Galaxy S3 that I have, I think I will be looking at something to replace this horrid iPad that now won't work for me and does not give me choices to make it look as I want it to. I think you are forgetting the reason we first loved and spent so much money on Apple products! Take a cue from the number of posts, humble yourself and please your customers. Consumers have too many choices now, and ultimately you are going to lose!

Wendy, NICE. I see this discussion has grown to 49 pages and yes there is a lot of people threatening to leave the

cult of Apple, but deep down inside, I hardly believe a few of us leaving would make a difference to the Apple Empire. I hardly believe a few of us complaining about this change in functionality will really have an influence on Apple to either correct the issue or make a huge improvement to iOS7. Let's use brainwash mentality and just call it an "improvement to an already perfect operating system", and hold back from pointing out that there is no functionality behind the "move and scale" feature.

Honestly, no matter how much we *****, how much we threaten, how snarky we users get, Apple will do as they want with their operating system and say what they want to defend and promote their operating system. They can't please everyone. I am just very disappointed that I can not use my device in a manner that I really enjoyed in the past, and I am sorry that I did the upgrade and cant go back. Had I known more about this issue, I would not have done the upgrade.

I only hope that one of three things happen.

1. there is an "improvement" or "correction" made to iOS7.

2. "move and scale" is removed from sight

3. Apple begins to allow users who have upgraded to iOS7, the ability to revert back to a prior iOS.

It Also depends on image resolution ... Image has to be at 72 dpi and many photos and wallpapers have resolutions of up to 300 dpi ...this causes the oversized image and crop issue even if motion reduction is on.

That's why screenshoting the wallpaper or photo works once motion reduction is on ...because the screenshot is automatically saved at 72dpi
