IOS 7 wallpaper resizing will not shrink photo to fit screen...

'Like' it or not, Onesam, I 'like' their attitude. 'Like' I said, I had a problem sizing wallpaper, raised it in a 'sizing wallpaper' forum, and these two solved it for me. What's not to 'like'?

I'm with onesam. Why pay the 99 cents for an app that isn't original and is available free? Your long-winded post, Rory, isn't clever or believable anyway.

Well seems no matter what I post, apple is removing it, even with no swear words or derogatory terms, a fair forum ? I think not, someone can slander me, his post stands, mine are deleted with no explanation, I'm thinking he works for apple ...

Hrm onesams wallax app costs the same as the one I bought made by Bernhard .. a war going on here or smth ? As I'm happy with the app I've bought,works perfectly and is simple, all I wanted to do was load wallpaper and it does it. Keep that out of the forums onesam and let the App Store show which is preferred :)

violetskye are you there? What's going on? Apple have deleted my last post now and that was sweetness and light embodied... Repeat, thank you and BOb for the wallpaper fix!

Hi Rory, I'm not sure what is going on, I had 2 posts and counting removed, the first was admittedly a little abusive, the 2nd was nothing like it, and removed again, I 'think' my last two have stayed .. Not sure, seems apple are better at deleting posts than fixing bugs in their products (bet this gets removed) !

Personally I don't think either of us need this drama, I'm probably old enough to be some of the posters mother, and don't need to get into a flame war on here (an online fight) not interested, but very insulted when I get abused and others are too. I'd suggest Rory just ignoring this post from now on, and ignoring any deletions via apple. They've shown what's important and onesam has unfortunately shown his true colors, trying to sell another app ..

Saw both posts (still got 'em!) but only got the chance to like the first. I have never been censored for anything before, let alone saying 'thank you'. Kiwis do polite as well, do they not?

Hi Rory, of course we do, and I am usually all about being polite, but now and then my shall I say ios7 side comes out, and ..... Everything up ;) wondering if this post will stay, maybe not. But on the serious side, I'm just happy I helped you out, and we both got a fix for now, & saddened that other posters seemed to see the worst in what was a nice innocent and helpful gesture. Enjoy being able to use your wallpaper, and it was great to meet you, as such :)

I now have 3 wallpaper resize apps installed on my iPad Mini - Wallpaper Fix, Wallax and InstaFix
The only one which does the job for me ie a sharp image properly resized to fit my screen in landscape mode has been InstaFix - and it's free !
The only proviso is that it my image needs to be initially resized to the screen resolution size for it to work properly ie 1024 x 768 pixels

I have tried and tried with the other two apps but have had no luck getting the result I wanted

The problem of course is not these apps but Apple not listening to a growing horde of very disallusioned customers who will be selling their Apple products and moving to Android devices if this problem does not get addressed soon

Clearly you don't belong on this forum, Onesam. If there were a Go Away button, I would click it.

Go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce Motion. Here you can turn on Reduce motion which will turn off the paralax effect. Then you can set a picture for your wall paper and it will not resize it.

This worked for me with all different sizes of pics and continues to since the big update, but it obviously hasn't worked for all. Many people are still having problems with it. Weird how it works for some but not all.

Unfortunately, as technology advances and people demand more features/functionality, "just works" always becomes "must learn", and to the mentally incapable masses, that tends to be an impossibility.

Reading helps, perhaps people should take a few minutes and do that? Just an after-thought...

BTW, when people become so lazy that Google and the masses of information in discussions.apple.com and all the user manuals, becomes too much work...

it's really time to blame lazy & uneducated people, not Apple.

These are the same people who can't figure out how to set the clock on their DVD/BluRay players and for years there's a blinking 12:00.

Everyone can calm down now, ios 7.1 beta was released and the wallpaper issue gets fixed, soon it will be released to all apple customers, please stop drowing this thread, in no time you will be able to post wallpapers like before
