iTunes Match issues on iOS 7

I have been using iOS 7 since the release of the GM. Overall, I love it - however with the music app, specifically with iTunes Match I am very dissapointed as the usability, for me has gone quite backwards.

Firstly, I have some artists in my collection with vast ammounts of albums (Grateful Dead, Phish, etc). With iOS 6, accessing those artist's albums was instantaneous. In iOS 7, it takes approximately 10-15 seconds from the time I tap the artist to being able to view the albums. When trying to return to the Artists tab, it will also hang for at least 10 seconds.

Second, once within the albums of a particular artist, there is no longer the alphabetical slider along the side which allows me to quickly scrub through the albums. When there are a lot of albums, scrolling manually through every album (and song) is quite tedious. I honestly can't believe how much of a step back this is. Albums no longer are listed alphabetically, now they are listed based on release date.

These issues have me wihing I coud go back to iOS 6, even though the rest of the new interface is great. I can't believe how much worse the music app is now. I can't believe no one at Apple has a music library containing artists with large discographies.

If there isn't a fix to these issues, I will have to cancel my iTunes Match subscription because it is simply too frustrating waiting for things to load and not being able to browse albums efficiently.

If anyone is aware of a fix, or is also frustrated by these issues, please let me know.

And me to the list dealing with this problem. I updated iTunes on my MBP and now it goes through the entire process of updating iTunes Match, it acts like it is complete and everything is fine but the cloud icon in the upper left corner just continues to ripple, and when I hold my mouse over it, it says "Accessing ITunes Match". It has been doing that all day no matter how many times I close and reopen match or sign out and sign back in iTunes. Same problem as others with the iPhone, it shows all of my songs but won't stream anything.

Which is in, what, at least a week? Don't forget, we have all the new 5S and 5C owners bogging down the system even more starting tomorrow.

I'm depressed.

And, to those who don't blame Apple for this...Apple certainly should have known (historically) about overload and demands and planned for this.

Instead, they let it happen, hide behind "dumb" support staff that act like you're the first person who has the problem, and won't put out a status update so we know what to expect.

Then again, Apple has never done any of that, so why start now?

What does that say for those of us who have no issue on their iOS devices running iOS 7, but have issues on computers and laptops using both iTunes 11.0 and 11.1?

I have been using this fine in iOS 7 before the release yesterday, was using last night when it died on my laptops and desktops, and am still using it today with no issues.

This isn't the case. I have experienced this issue since beta 1 of iOS 7 and have been reporting it. Something is not right with the music app in iOS 7 and iTunes match.

And, people who think theirs is working...turn off Match and turn it back on (if you dare).

You will find yours is NOT working, and that while you may have most or all of your stuff there, nothing is probably updating or syncing.

If anyone can confirm that their iTunes (Mac or Windows) or Music app with Match is FULLY FUNCTIONAL and they can turn match off and back on (or even do a successful update Match), please post.

Even iTunes looks like it works, but the cloud icon has the "Z" in it, which mean problems.
