I would like to interject something here. While it may have been a regional setting change in the iOS, according to this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 there are no supported carriers in that region. It could be the settings in the SIM are causing this issue. Unsupported carriers do not always work with the iPhone and while it may have worked before, this could be causing the issue.

It is possible. While the regional settings on the phone control one thing, the SIM and carrier settings can override some phone settings. I don't profess to know the answer, but I am just offering something else to think about. When a carrier is signified by Apple as a supported carrier, they ensure that everything works the way that it should. You could always ask the carrier and see what they have to say, but I wouldn't guarantee anything.

That part doesn't matter. As Lawrence said, you don't understand. Apple is not going to provide a software patch to support carriers that are not iPhone supported carriers. At that point, why would they work to be Apple approved supported carriers if their devices worked anyway. I don't blame them if a software upgrade rendered the phone unusable on a non-supported carrier.

lol... agree that Apple can close eyes for not supported carees. But we all are customers and payed them.

Wanna more users (read: profit) -> go and fix.

Apple used to be number one -> they need take care of customers; or someone else will do this.


I'm complaining here to make situation loud. Agree: caree is not supported, but overall satisfaction about product goes down. Here we want to make problem public, we are sending requests as was suggested.


The same story/complains to our mobile caree provides, but indeed place to blame is wrong.


Guys, I think this was obvious.

Complaining here just irritates other users since this is a user to user technical support forum, not a place to tout comments and feelings. Comments to Apple, as stated before, go to the feedback page at www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link.


Complaining to your carrier to have them negotiate with Apple to make them supported carriers is the best route for you to take. Apple does not seek carriers, and it is the carrier's reponsibility to comply with Apple guidelines for operation.


It really isn't going to do any good for you to continue here, as it will not change things. Apple does not participate in the forum, and you can only provide feedback at the link I provided. They will not respond to feedback, but they do read them.


The only correct thing that you said in the post was placing blame is on the carrier, not on Apple.

Мне интересно, сколько здесь тех, для кого родной язык не русский? Не будем вдаваться в подробности, кому какой язык любим. Выглядит так смешно, ведь в Apple и правдв не просматривают эту страницу, а по форумчанам заметно, что английский не родной. Фидбэк хорош, но наберете сотню отзывов, и, думаете это поможет? Сомневаюсь. А на мелких операторов им все равно. Вся надежда на 7.1, которая, кстати, уже доступна для разработчиков. Немного обидно, но ведь это не такая уж и проблема, как вы тут, господа, раздуваете. Больше всего интересует, почему для Беларуси такое особое положение, так как западный мир не жалуется.

Фикс проблемы - набирать 8, либо 0+ (удержать 0), а после удалить 0. Или как писал здесь кто-то: зажать 0 и delete, но это поистине ниндзя метод.

PS За шутку про сотню баксов +1

Ну то, что для Вас английский не родной, так же сразу видно. Хоть бы уже не позорились критикуя, а потом таким высказыванием на английском. Суть проблемы в том, что компания Apple представлена в РБ. Вот и хотелось бы получить полноценный продукт. А если Вы читали ветку, то должны были заметить, что дело не ограничилось сообщениями на форуме.
