iOS 7 need to dial only "+" not "0+" how?
Сначала была неудобна, патом прыцярпеуся. Хер вам что починят. Белорусы терпилы по жизни. ;)
Doesn't possibility to type symbol +
The problem of dialling "+" in number dialer in iOS 7 in the networks of Belarusian mobile operators still exists in 7.0.3. Bravo Apple! This is exactly what we expect from you when we buy an iPhone for some $800! Applause!!!
By the way, the cool new feature of iOS 7.0.3 called iCloud Keychain is unavailable for users in Belarus. Belarus is not listed in the list of countries with country telephone codes where you have to input your phone number while configuring iCloud Keychain preferences on an iOS device. Cool!
Yeah, 7.0.3 didn't fix the problem :-(
Same problem. Belarus. Wonder how many posts there has to be in this thread for Apple to actually notice it.
Actually Apple doesn't notice anything in the forum. They do not particiate here, it is a user to user technical support. For you to let Apple know of a problem or issue, you need to go to www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link.
Thanks! I found this out just this morning and have already sent a message describing this problem to the feedback. I hope that would have some effect. Actually, I think the more people post their messages with this problem the quicker Apple would realize the problem.
Your correct about that, as long as the messages are on the feedback page. Sometimes too many individuals come to the forum (and I am not complaining or belittling you) and just rant on and on here at the forum and it has absolutely no affect except to make it more difficult for those of us that follow the forum to try and help individuals with problems and cannot see posts for all of the rants that other start. Good luck with your issues and hope it gets sorted.
In the latest release, if you hold down the 0 for a few secinds, the + sign appears.
Not fixed in 7.0.4
There's nothing to fix. I have 7.0.4. I hold "0" for 1 second and it changes to "+". It also worked in 7.0.3 and 7.0.2, where I used it fairly frequently. If it isn't working on your phone read the rest of the thread for possible reasons.
If you read this thread from the beginning, you'll see that the problem occurs only in the networks of Belarusian mobile operators. I also don't have problems with dialing "+" while outside of Belarus. So the problem really exists
Situation is reproducible only with local mobile providers (Velcom, MTS, Life). For foreign mobile providers it works okay.
Lawrence, not sure that you can reproduce situation.
I agree that the problem is real, but there isn't anything Apple can do about it. "+" has different meanings on different networks. It gets translated to the local International prefix by the local carrier. In most countries that is "00", but not everywhere. For example, in North America "+" is translated to "011". So if holding "0" translates to "0+" that's the carrier's network or firmware installed from the SIM that is doing it, not Apple.
That's pretty interesting. But the most ridiculous thing is that it worked perfectly on previous versions of iOS and this problem appeared only in iOS 7. I've also been thinking that the problem might be solved if Apple updates carrier settings.
