Anyone else having battery issues since updating to iOS 7?

After updating my iPhone 4S to iOS7, I noticed a horrible drain on my battery! From 100% to 62% in less than two hours... I have tried shutting off Bluetooth and even disabling refreshing background apps, and have my screen brightness set at less than 45% but it is still draining fast... Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone have any idea why?

Anyone else having issue with charging your battery? I noticed that charging my battery has been an issue, that might have to also do with power drainage... The power charging icon never seems to go off and I get erratic readings all the time... For instance, today it seemed stuck at 97% and wouldn't go any higher... But there are also times, in the past couple of days where it was charged to 100% but showed itself still charging... When I would unplug it, within seconds it would drop down to 99-98%, but a reboot would put it back to 100%... Today though, it seems to like only 97%, so I am going to do another recalibration and see if I can get this thing back in track... I definitely think it may be some kind of bug in charging and recharging that may be at the root of these issues on my iPhone 4S, because for some reason, my battery life on my iPad and iPad mini seem to be okay... They both have taken hits, but nothing as bad as the iphone has... Anyone else experience battery charging issues, or their battery fully charged, and yet continues to show the charging lighting bolt, after it has been fully charged? This happens on all my devices...

And let me also add, I have done a recalibrating of all my batteries, for those who keep offering this as advice... That is the first thing I do with every new update... This goes a little deeper than just a recalibrating issue... It doesn't seem to keep the recalibration or isn't charging sufficiently... Or has some bug that definitely is complicating the issue...

After lookin around a little bit more, it seems that my problem was caused by Exchange replication : the setting was correct, and there was almost nothing to sync as I only use it for calendar and contacts, but in 3 days it used 320 MB of 3G bandwidth !

I had switched automatic sync off this morning, then this afternoon switched it back on, but it seems that the problem is fixed.

It is clear there are one or more processes causing the CPU to run non-stop in our iPad despite following all recommendations to shut down Location Services, turn-off Bluetooth, etc. The back of the iPad is hot to the touch when it is turned on. Closing the Apple-issued cover does not shut down the iPad as it did before we installed iOS 7. And, as others have observed, the power drains extraordinarily quickly.

Hi About 5 days ago I upgraded the OS on my iPhone 4 to ios7

What a silly mistake that was! 😠 And I am told I cannot downgrade to ios 6 at all.

I've been using a third party battery pack for the last year that only cost me £30.00 and its been working fine up untill the OS upgrade! then it would not charge up.

I thought Oh well a years not bad for £30.00 as the Apple battery is about £100.00 and my last one lasted 2 years. So I went and bought a new third party Battery, but when I plug it into my charger it doesnt charge it up.

So I returned to the shop and they fitted one that had already been charged. But when I plug the apple charger into the phone I get a message saying that some third party accessories are not supported and it will not charge the battery.

The other point is that you cannot go to your local high Street and just buy an Apple battery for your phone you have to go to an Apple Centre my nearest Centre is 30 miles away. I was caught out like this when on Holiday in Corfu, Greece, nowhere could I get a battery for my iPhone 4, I was told it had to be sent to Athens to have one fitted at an outlandish price. And now with the new IOS 7 I can't even use a third party battery, this really is totally unaceptable.

1) There should have been a warning to problems with upgrading

2) There should be a way for those that have been duped into upgrading to IOS 7 to downgrade to IOS 6.

3) It seems after reading these posts that even if you have an Apple battery there are a lot of problems with battery drain etc.

I must say that after years of being an Apple Loyal Customer I'm considering buying an Adroid Smart Phone.

Has anyone found a work around regarding the third party battery Issues?

The Anker Astro3 supplies very clean and reliable power to the iPhone even when it is running iOS 7.

(I can personally confirm this)

Note, being generic does not help us help you, what power/battery pack do you have now?

Also, what Apple Battery? Apple doesn't make powerpacks for the iPhone...

Also, Google is a powerful resource, always research (and/or call Apple) before making OS upgrades- Try a query like this: "Can I downgrade to iOS 6 if I install iOS 7?"
