Upgraded to iTunes 11.1 and now it won't recognize my iPhone
I updated iTunes to 11.1 and it wouldnt recognize my iPhone. I updated my iOS to iOS 7 and iTunes still wont recognize my iPhone. Any ideas?

I had the same issue with a new Windows 8 PC. Followed the instructions listed here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 and it worked perfectly! Thanks!

It's been weeks since iTunes won't recognise all my gadgets except my shuffle.
So the frustration got bigger than me that I was ranting of switching to Samsung.
[i'm using Windows 8.1 so yeah, I was also cursing Windows. LOL]
I was like, first the stup1d certified lightning cable issue then this updated iTunes won't recognise.
Now I'm back to my old love, Apple. HAHA! Thank you again @Davidsh_seattle

I can't help thinking that there must be a fault in the new software for iPhone and iPad which is not allowing the device driver to install automatically.

my iphone 5 doesnt even show up in the devices section, infact the devices section isnt even there. i dont know what to do and i've been stuck on this for hours. someone please help me 😟
