Upgraded to iTunes 11.1 and now it won't recognize my iPhone

I, too, registered just to say THANK YOU!!! I tried everything short of throwing my iPhone and Ipod out the window. And then I happened onto this thread and voila - both of my devices are now recognized. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!

It is great to feel well, because searching Apple help database finally helped to solve an issue, first time in so many years.

P.S. I'm glad that I don't have so many issues in a past years.
