iTunes 11.1.0 update The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1102.)(102)

Some threads are suggesting that this error message was generated by Apple servers.

So in the event of/as a response of some kind of defense mechanism against possible denial of service

The server will reply with the above mentioned error message.

Which I am getting right now.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4), Skype installed

The servers have been overwhelmed today with the release of iOS 7 and iTunes 11.1. You may just have to wait a bit and try later.
