iOS 7 and Audiobook Chapters

iOS 7 seems to have removed the ability to view individual audiobook chapters in the music app. It has also replaced the chapter length with the length of the entire book in the time scrubber. When tapping the top right-hand corner to access the list of chapters, now it only shows one file for the whole book, whereas before it listed all the chapters, just like it lists all the songs in an album. This change applies to my own audiobooks created using the Mac Audiobook Builder app and to Audible downloads. I haven't tried it on an iTunes purchased audiobook.

If I manage to lose my place, scrubbing (even using quarter-speed or fine) through a 30+ hour audiobook is...let's be polite and say "challenging." I really liked knowing where I was in a chapter, being able to see how much time was left, being able to view the list of chapters, etc. My hope is I'm just missing something here and some iOS 7 wizard can show me how to correct this. But I suspect Apple's just updated the app.

That looks promising. At least they now have the Chapterlist back. So it "Track 1", "Track 2", etc. the way your chapters are actually titled?

You say that "show individual chapter names" status is unknown. However, it DOES have the chapter list. Are you saying that it lists the chapters, but gives them generic names instead of their actual chapter names?

i'm not sure whether Apple makes the same mistake and gives chapters generic names (like in iOS 5.0) or the shown with the chapter names from M4B. I haven't got a beta version installed, i have only found screenshots and videos where generic chapter names exists. Therefor i said: "Unknown"!

It's Sun Nov 29, 2015. MONTHS ago I called itunes and complained about the new IOS screwing up my audiobooks. I have some audiobooks downloaded onto my computer in itunes and some in audiobooks. what a fiasco, but in the end it all worked out and it made sense that I could access audiobooks in the audible app, the issue is books from my computer to my iphone will NOT list the chapters!! So, for example if I do an audiobook that's a collection of short stories, how do I know which story it is if it just says '0' on all of them?!!! or if the chapters of a book are listed by number rather than the titles how do I know which chapter it really is? UCH!!! WHY can't APPLE get it right??!! I do not know why buy this drives me INSANE!!
