Trust this Computer?

I installed iOS 7 this morning, and now with every restart of my iPad - if it is plugged into my iMac - I am asked "Trust This Computer?" I restarted 3 times, and was asked each time. Is this something that we will see every time we sync our tablets and phones?

I installed iOS 7 Thursday (9-19-2013) and rebuilt my PC this past weekend. Once I had all the software reinstalled and all the updates I ghosted the computer. The only problem now is iOS 7 on a 4S keeps asking if I trust the computer, this is getting frustrating. I have read most comments to this problem seeing how I am having the same issue and I do not see a solution yet, am I over looking it?

Hi All,

I was having this same issue and could find nothing to solve it. I am running ios 7 on iphone 4s and was unable to sync with itunes and would receive "trust this computer" notification. Here's what worked for me, I went in my computer, scrolled down to portable devices (you have to have your iphone connected with usb or you will not see anything under that tab). I right clicked on Apple Iphone and had a option to "remove device", Once it was removed i unplugged my usb cable and plugged it right back in, My computer regonized it as a new device to install. Now I am able to sync with itunes again.... Hope this helps anyone looking for a solution. Any questions Just ask....

I have iPhone 5 (iOS 7), Windows 7. It's an iTunes issue. Do the following :

i) make sure iTunes is up to date/re-install if necessary

ii) "allow this software to make changes to this computer's hard drive" type message comes up part the way through the install ie you have to pay attention to what's going on

iii) press 'yes'

iv) you're all set

For a moment my unshakeable faith in Apple technology took a wobble. But it was user error plus Windows jiggery-pokery after all! All is now good.

I charge my iPod every day by plugging it in to my computer at work. I don't have iTunes installed on this computer. I am using a genuine Apple cable. Every single time I plug my iPod in I am asked if I trust this computer. How can I make the iPod remember that I do indeed trust my work computer? Is there a setting on the computer that I need to change?

Me too now: iPhone 4, original Apple Cable, Windows 7 Ultimate, latest iTunes - and get "Trust This Computer" most every time I plug in, or reboot (I'm a developer and do the latter frequently). It *MAY* not have happened with iOS 7.0.0, but definitely DOES with iOS 7.0.2.

This is NOT an iTunes problem - and so (even though I tried it), there is no point in "reparing" Apple Device Supprot, etc. The message appears EVEN BEFORE WINDOWS BOOTS - or if I boot into another O/S that does not include iTunes.

It IS an IOS 7 PROBLEM. And its yet another PITA.

Apple have SERIOUSLY screwed up with iOS 7 (still having issues with getting FaceTime to work).

If only Steve Jobs was still with us ... I remember thinking the iOS 6 Apple Maps debacle was a foretaste of things to come. iOS 7 is just proving that we've seen the best already.

Couldnt agree more with you! So they bring out an update. No menus whatsoever to choose if you want to enable or disable this "feature". This is the kind of thing only Microsoft do to their loyal customers....not any more! All this talk about iTunes! I use Linux so have no use for that app. Didnt these geniuses think of letting people choose **** it!
