Can't scale pictures since ios7 update

Since ios7 upgrade, I can't scale any pictures. My wall paper and lock screen on my ipad have massively increased the size of the images, and when I try to move & scale, it won't let me scale the pictures down any more. So my wallpaper now looks sh't and with the new menu soon feature when you access a folder from the home screen, it enlarges even more! Right annoying! And after spending nearly 5 hours downloading the thing. Grrrrrr

You are inside my mind. I gave my samsung phone away cause it had a teeny lag when i tried to open apps. The ipad was my first apple product and I gave €780 to have a device that you click, and stuff happens immediately... This is unacceptable.

Its like buying a Ferrari and a year later you take it for a service job and they make it go with 50km/h max speed.

Hi I recently updated to IOS7 and experienced the same issue of being unable to resize my selected photo to fit my ipad screen as a wallpaper. It would just zoom in everytime tried to resize or move...Frustrating.

Until I figured out that you need to set the wallpaper via the settings menu, as this way it does not automatically zoom in on the photo.

Just go to Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness > Choose Wallpaper > Camera Roll > Select Your Choice of Photo and There you go!!!

Sorry but this does Not work for me - on my ipad or iphone. That is where I have been selecting the wallpaper from and it does not let me scale from there. I am stuck viewing the photo from Camera roll, trying to shrink it down, and while still holding it (cu if you let go, it closes the picture), try to get a straight screen shot of the shrunken pic, and then haing that from settings to set it. It's ridiculous, and frustrating.

I was able to move and scale the wallpaper on my iPad 4 by turning off the parallax motion....

  1. Go to Settings > General > Assessibility > Reduce Motion "set to OFF"
  2. Next, in Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness > Choose Wallpaper (pick the wallpaper) - you should now be able to "Move and Scale" the photo that you've chosen for your wallpaper.
  3. After you've SET the wallpaper, you can go back to Parallax motion by turning Reduce Motion to "ON" (see step 1)

I agree, i have tried turning the parallex off several times, it makes no difference on either of my devices. I sent a feedback to Apple for both. Now i have a whole new issue with iOS 7.. My automatic downloads for purchased songs no longer works, and on top of that, the new songs I download don't show in the purchased playlist at all. i have to remember the new artist name, and manually add it to the playlst. And the menus are laggy as well. Worst update ever.

Hi

Managed to get this to work on my iPhone 4S .the move and scale would not zoom out to show the part of the picture near the top that she wanted. I went into "Settings -> General -> Accessibility" and set "Reduce Motion" to "On". That took care of the problem...the move and scale worked correctly after that.

After much cursing and shouting

Regards

Thanks for trying but this doesn't work on the iPad.

Anyone heard from apple support on this issue? And in general on the laggy system?

Something to. Dd, by the way, my background sometimes won't autorotate when i turn my iPad from portrait to landscape :) just something to add to this horrific update that makes us all want to throw away €780.

I cannot resize my wallpaper with ios7 on my iPad anymore, very annoying , we thought apple was more professional than this. Please do something before we lose faith in you.ps: iOS 7 is sluggish ,it freezes, takes forever ie,when changing wallpapers ,not good, love the lock screen though makes my phone look bigger, hate the frosty bottom on home screen because it basically hides most of my wallpaper, common sense. Would be better if there was an option to make it more transparent. Keep new icons but make them glossy apple.

There is a way.pinch the picture smaller then take a snap shot of it using the home and power button together then you can use your wallpaper to a desired size. Frustrating.
