iOS 7 forgot restrictions passcode

I have updated to iOS 7. My location services have been disabled and findmyiphone is turned on but with restricted access. However I have forgotten my restrictions pass code so am unable to turn on location services. If I try and restore iphone via iTunes it tells me I have to turn off findmyiphone first. But I can't do this because I have forgotten this restriction passcode.

Totally stuck now. Seems there is no way to reset my phone.

Any ideas?

Have to agree that the 4Derson method worked very easily, and seems the least painful. Just to be crystal clear to readers: you do NOT have to edit and restore any files using this method. (Can confirm that still works as of 8.1.1.) Just to try to make it even clearer: Download and open iBackUpBot, for free. For me, upon opening, it automatically found the backup I'd just done, so I didn't even need to do another backup. Follow the 4Derson/gumCore instructions, and it just gives you your code...you're done!

I just got an I-phone 5 a few months back and decided to sale my I-phone 4 and the same thing happened to me. I just did exactly what

StephRi0s said to do. Which was logged into the cloud, and connected my old device to my wi-fi, turned on "find my i-phone, oh and don't forget to turn on your "location services". Just to be cautious and avoid any issues with my current phone I temporarily turned off my i-phone 5. and was able to find and completely erase my i-phone 4 from the cloud. Worked perfectly! : ) As the sitting around waiting for 60 minutes to try a different password and rule out possible pass-codes was getting very frustrating. Wish I had found this thread earlier!! Thx

Here is the post I referenced.

I did this also.

think i found a solution but you must know your apple ID and PW.

1. sign into icloud.com

2. once you are signed in click on "find my iphone" tab

3. click "all devices" on top of the page

4. click on the device you lost your passcode to.

5. once you do a couple of choices will come up "play sound" "lost mode" and "erase iphone"

click on the erase iphone. and it will begin to whip out your iphone.

6. once i was done i connected it back into my itunes and restored from my last backup. i was then

able to get into my phone and reset my passcode. :-)

hope this helps. i was so lost i thought i messed up big time lol.

The only possible solution i could come up with for fixing the, "No Sim Card Installed" message and I find myself locked out by another bug. Same problem same story, I went in to settings >restrictions and it required my pass code. I figured no problem and typed it in and to my disbelief i am now currently restoring my iPad. Get with it Apple!

Hi gilsonmelo,

I tried the steps you mentioned above and I am able to save the edited file in iBackupbBot but I am not able to restore backup file as I get a message saying iTunes could not restore the iPhone "XXXX" because not enough free space is available on the iPhone. Now should I manually delete the data or should I try deleting through Find My iPhone or is there any other alternative ? Please suggest

Thank you
